Deer Valley Charter Schools, Inc. is a non-profit charter organization. It was created as an evening high school through the auspices of the Deer Valley School District in the fall of 2001 to help support the educational needs of the community. Growing consistently over the years, it has become fully independent and self-governing serving over 400 full and part-time students.

Deer Valley Academy’s academic program has been specifically designed to provide choices for students who are in need of a small, caring learning environment. The school offers a comprehensive course selection that meets state standards and college entrance requirements.  Students need 21 credits to graduate.

With year round sessions, a four-day, Monday through Thursday week and block classes, Deer Valley Academy offers a unique school calendar. It also offers a variety of elective programs including art, physical education, psychology, and humanities. Math and Language Arts tutoring is offered to those students who are required to pass the AIMS test.
